| Job Description: | INSIDE SALES COORDINATOR - SPECIALTY PRODUCTS - CORPORATE OFFICE
RESPONSIBILITIES The person in this position: Pursues sales leads to develop new customers in current and developing businesses.
Manages sales on an assigned territory through phone and personal sales calls. (Approximate 10% Travel)
Provides order entry/logistics coordination.
Documents sales efforts in Sales Support System.
Maintains a working knowledge of Hormel products within Specialty Products Division as well as their applications and functions.
Monitors competitive activity through customer contact and attendance at local trade shows.
Conducts competitive activity research via on-line and in print and reports on potential new products and applications as requested by Management.
Provides administrative support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS Required Two year associates degree with a business, sales or science emphasis.
Sales experience as well as experience with cold sales calls.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to initiate appropriate action independently and efficiently.
Detail focused, highly developed and demonstrated organizational ability.
Proficiency in the Windows environment to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Ability to work and succeed in a team environment.
Proficiency in order processing and mainframe systems.
Preferred Four year degree with a business, sales or science emphasis.
