POSITION: Embroidery Support Operator – 2nd Shift
REPORTS TO: Embroidery Production Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
DATE: 7/20/2012
PURPOSE: To produce high quality embroidery on a basic line of products using computerized multi-head embroidery machines, and help Embroidery Associates when needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Program embroidery machines as instructed from written work order
- Stage, hoop, and load product onto embroidery machines
- Maintain, set up, and run embroidery machines
- Finish embroidered product as directed on work order
- Remove embroidery backing from product
- Trim unnecessary threads
- Fold, tag, and bag as directed on work order
- Perform final quality inspection of embroidered product
- Prepare orders for shipping
- Administrative duties (i.e. completing paperwork and labeling boxes)
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as needed throughout the Distribution Center
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Able to process alphanumeric data quickly and accurately
- Computer literate
- Experience with quality control preferred
- Good communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work with small objects (i.e. threading needles)
- Ability to work independently as well as be a team player
EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced production environment is preferred
